My mum is going to love this, she'll be stoaked if there is a plan change to make thee area residential, rather than rural so she can subdivide out 10acre Waimauku property. Maybe this is one fo the challenges- that people directly effected by the proposal (say to extend the MUL) will want it to be extended to increase their own proprty prices- rather than having a regard to the whole idea of sprawl. And I agree with them- why shouldn't that want significant increases in proprty prices?
